At HOLD Szilárd oversees the firm’s foreign business development with a focus on the US and Canadian markets. Prior to joining HOLD he held several associate level positions at Bridgewater Associates and Wellington Management in the US. Subsequently he spent two years at Commerzbank as a proprietary trader. From 2008 to 2014 he was director of investment management at a Hungarian Family Office and actively managed the firm’s global macro portfolios. In 2014 he became Managing Partner of Pannonia Capital, an alternative macroeconomic research company and managed Pannonia Global Macro Opportunities Fund until 2017. Szilárd studied applied statistics and finance at New York University and has a degree in Economics from the University of Southern California.
